The government has announced that the Green Homes Grant Voucher Scheme will no longer be extended from 31st March 2021. However, despite this, many other government funded retrofit schemes will remain and require PAS 2030 certification. NFRC CPS will continue to pursue an extension of scope for PAS 2030:2019 accreditation, and will update contractors as soon as we have obtained this.
Following the launch of our new system, we are currently experiencing a high number of telephone calls which we are doing our very best to respond to as quickly as we possibly can.
We are aware that the import of Works data into the new system is triggering a large volume of automated emails, please do not be concerned about these, we are working on the issue now. Please bear with us—if you can, please email your query to us.
Thank you for your patience.
NFRC Competent Person Scheme (CPS) is the only one of its kind in the roofing industry.
NFRC CPS allows roofing contractors to self-certify that their work meets the requirements of Approved Document L1B of the Building Regulations without having to go through the bureaucratic and costly process of getting Building Control sign-off.
For roofing contractors, the NFRC Competent Person Scheme saves you time and money, as well as assuring your clients that you can perform the work to the standards required. Contractors also have access to our in-house technical team. Go to our contractors page to find out more information and how to join.
For homeowners and commercial clients, by using an NFRC CPS contractor, you could save hundreds of pounds on an inspection from Building Control, as well as the cost of a Building Control Compliance Certificate (BRCC).
Homeowners will also have the assurance of a ten-year Insurance Backed Guarantee (IBG) which all NFRC CPS contractors have to have in place for domestic projects.
Don’t forget—registered contractors of NFRC Competent Person Scheme are eligible to enter the UK Roofing Awards. If you have a roofing project that you are proud of and was completed in 2020, then why not enter it for an award?
You could be celebrating at the UK Roofing Industry’s most prestigious event of the year on 5 November.
“You’ve got to be in it to win it!”
