Scheme requirements
The NFRC Competent Person Scheme was set up to support local authorities in ensuring that roofing contractors are competent in their trade. Just like in the electricity and gas industries, roofing contractors registered on the Competent Person Scheme have demonstrated that they are skilled professionals.
The Competent Person Scheme allows registered contractors to self-certify domestic, commercial and industrial roof refurbishment work that comes under the relevant Building Regulations 2010 Approved Documents.
Compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations must be confirmed by a Building Regulations Compliance Certificate (BRCC) which is issued directly by us to your client within 30 days of project completion.
