Become a NFRC CPS Registered Contractor

By joining NFRC CPS as a Registered Contractor you be able to self-certify that any future roof refurbishments you undertake, comply with Part 1LB of the Building Regulations, saving both you and your client time and money.

Your company will also gain an important accreditation, demonstrating you have met our vigorous vetting criteria, and have been inspected by one of our inspectors.

You will give your clients peace of mind, that not only will the job be done by a competent roofing contractor, but the worked will also be backed by an Insurance Backed Guarantee (IBG).

Application Process

Application Stage

Select your preferred insurance provider (for IBG’s) by completing their individual online applications process:

Complete the NFRC Competent Person Scheme application form
Pay the application fee
Desktop AuditPass a probity check

Upload the following documents:

  • Employers Liability insurance
  • Public Liability insurance
  • Health & Safety policy
  • Complaints procedure
  • Sales contract
  • Terms & Conditions
  • 10-year workmanship guarantee
  • Direct debit form
  • Sign and return the Contractor’s Declaration (this will be provided once you have completed an on-line application)
Provisional Status GrantedUpload a reportable job
Completing the above steps will give you ‘provisional status’ as an NFRC CPS Contractor, allowing you to upload suitable roofing works to our Members’ Portal for inspection.  To complete the application process, NFRC CPS need to successfully complete an office and site audit – that’s why we need a ‘reportable job’ to review.

Contacts

Primary contact

This person will receive all the follow-up to this application and once in the scheme will be sent bulletins and other information from NFRC CPS. If application is approved, they will be the administrator for your access to our Contractor Portal (you will have the option to change this later).


Finance contact

This person will be the recipient of all financial communication with NFRC CPS, including invoices and Direct Debits.
